TONIGHT: AD/CW Meet Up: Stop being a one-person creative team.

Sick of doing it all yourself?

Talk to dozens of other students looking to work on projects together for classes and award shows. Find an art director who makes layouts sparkle, a copywriter if you aren’t good with words-and-junk, or that extra person to finish your human pyramid.

Please bring a laptop, tablet or other means of showing your work with you.

FAQs

1. should we ask our instructors to select some of our work for the show or is it strictly just instructors choosing them?

NO. It’s their choice. The instructors can select as many pieces as they wish for entry. If you work is of the caliber they expect, they’ll pick it.

2. Does it have to be work done in AAU classes?

NO. We certainly welcome any projects you have not completed in a class and on your own time. It must have been created for your use and not that of paid client. No agency work. Just stuff you personally did to benefit yourself.  If needed, simply write “independent project” in the credit entry screen under Course and instructor fields.

3. Since you can submit multiple names to a piece, would my copywriter and I submit the same piece? or Just one of us?

Just one person submits the campaign and credits both of you. The other team mate should NOT enter the same campaign. This will also increase the amount of campaigns you have worked on  being submitted for judging.

TONIGHT: NETWORKING NIGHT: You won’t find work alone.

ID BADGES: Must be shown to Campus Hosts upon request.

Just a quick reminder that it is your responsibility (as outlined in the student code of conduct and catalog supplement) to:

“provide campus officials with with verification of your identity if asked (student ID Cards)”

While you may feel this is silly because the campus hosts might have seen you yesterday or the day before, it is for your safety and security we ask for this. Just keep in mind that they are doing their jobs, so do yours as a student and just show your ID.
