MUNI Art 2022: Call for Artists!

Here’s your chance to be a MUNI artist and have your work on SF buses all over the city!

SF Beautiful is celebrating seven years of Muni Art and has announced this year’s theme:
“STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO”
Each artist has eight panels to showcase their work which will be installed in 100 muni buses throughout San Francisco

2021 Rose Pak Memorial Scholarship!

Check out this amazing scholarship opportunity from The Rose Pak Community Fund, a local organization serving SF’s API community:

 

​What is the Rose Pak Memorial Scholarship?

The Rose Pak Memorial Scholarship is a merit-based award offered to students of Asian and Pacific Islander (API) origin, who is from San Francisco Bay Area and wants to get an education in preparation for a career in public service. The 2021 Rose Pak Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to five students in the amount up to $5,000 each. The scholarship may be applied to tuition only. We will not accept applications from international or foreign-exchange students.

 

​Who are the Rose Pak Scholars?

​Rose Pak Scholars are API students who have been recognized by the Rose Pak Memorial Scholarship as future leaders in the community. They have the drive to serve the community and have demonstrated leadership potential in the past that in time should enable them to improve the ways that public entities – be they government agencies, nonprofit organizations, public and private educational institutions, or advocacy organizations – serve the public good.

Who is eligible to receive a Rose Pak Memorial Scholarship?

​1. Asian Pacific Islander (API) students who are entering or currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year college or university as an undergraduate in 2021 fall or 2022 Spring semester

2. Students must be from San Francisco Bay Area, a member of the Asian Pacific Islander (API) community, and from a low-income family

3. Priority for applicants who are the first in their immediate families to attend college.

Applicants must demonstrate experience of leadership and an intent to pursue a career in public service. A career in public service is defined as working in an area that will advance the empowerment and improvement of outcomes for low-income communities and communities of color. This can encompass working in a community-based nonprofit organization, the public sector, and elected office.
