What is the Summer Expo?
The Summer Expo is an event, created to give our Online Students an Academy of Art University “Immersion/Intensive” experience. Students are invited to join us on campus in San Francisco for hands-on workshops, tours of departments, live demos, and onsite classes. It’s also a chance for students to meet their Department Directors, talk about their progress with their programs and discuss their futures in their chosen fields. A few lucky students will also get to take field trips our local Industry partners. In the past, those partners have included EA Games, Pixar, Google, YouTube, Facebook and Adobe. Evening events provide opportunities to network with students, faculty and alumni.
All Online students are invited to the virtual Townhall meeting on Monday, March 7th at 4pm Pacific Standard Time.
Online students will be able to voice their ideas, questions and concerns to the Executive Office, Advertising Student Reps, as well as Advertising Directors. They will also receive important announcements about AAU and upcoming projects and events.
What’s more, students who attend will also be entered into the Online Student Prize drawing!

The Academy Resource Center (ARC) offers free, small-group tutoring to all students, both undergraduate and graduate, for all majors and courses, through On-Campus Labs and Online Labs Live! Our services provide individualized attention from experienced tutors to small groups of students. Students may be referred—or seek tutoring themselves—through the ARC’s Student Academic Support (SAS) department, and academic coaches from SAS will assist students by referring them to the appropriate educational support options.
Workshops have started! Make sure to attend any that apply to you, and please take note of our new Creative Strategy workshop.
On campus students with busy schedules can sign up for the Online workshop by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
