1. GRAPHIC DESIGN/ BRANDING  (Department: Marketing & Communications)

Description: As the Bay.Org transitions into its new domain under Bay Ecotarium, all its programs, collateral and communication needs will be closely aligned in its design vocabulary and aesthetic treatment in conjunction with the new brand. The Graphic Design and Branding intern, will be part of an exciting process of organizational transformation and focus group studies to establish the viability of the Brand that will define this amalgam of institutions and differentiate it among peers.

Qualifications: The required skills include sketching abilities, creative layout skills, knowledge of Adobe Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and strong communication skills with exposure to vector art image editing, 3D software, and/or data visualization. Self-starter, flexible, result oriented, with a good understanding of branding principles.

2. MULTI-MEDIA/ ANIMATION (Department: Marketing & Communications)

Description: Animations can range from simple GIFs to involved motion graphics. We will work with the abilities of the intern and challenge them with creative goals requiring work with Flash, Blender, Adobe After Effects, etc. Work would entail creation of presentation decks, animations, special effects, video edits, audio mixing, creating touch screen “interactives” for a variety of delivery platforms including social media.

Qualifications:  Interest in communications, new media, and video production; Must have a good attitude, a pleasant phone demeanor, a willingness to learn, and a portfolio; should be Internet savvy and be able to provide samples of work including school projects, demo reel, YouTube / Vimeo channel etc.

3. WEB DESIGN/ SOCIAL MEDIA CREATIVE (Department: Sales & Events)

Description: Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification. Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action on social media platforms, web pages, and blog. Optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content. Moderate all user-generated content in line with the mission. Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules. Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices.

Qualifications: Working experience or exposure to social media marketing or digital media environment.Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), and communication skills. Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge. Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, e-commerce functionality and general awareness to ticketing and dynamic events calendar. Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of search engines and data analysis. Positive attitude, detail oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability.

All interns will be paid a monthly stipend up to $1800, depending on hourly/ monthly engagement for each assignment.

Internships will be for 4 months maximum, with flexible start dates. Minimum of 16 hrs./ max 20 hrs. per week.
