1. GRAPHIC DESIGN/ BRANDING  (Department: Marketing & Communications)

Description: As the Bay.Org transitions into its new domain under Bay Ecotarium, all its programs, collateral and communication needs will be closely aligned in its design vocabulary and aesthetic treatment in conjunction with the new brand. The Graphic Design and Branding intern, will be part of an exciting process of organizational transformation and focus group studies to establish the viability of the Brand that will define this amalgam of institutions and differentiate it among peers.

Qualifications: The required skills include sketching abilities, creative layout skills, knowledge of Adobe Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and strong communication skills with exposure to vector art image editing, 3D software, and/or data visualization. Self-starter, flexible, result oriented, with a good understanding of branding principles.

2. MULTI-MEDIA/ ANIMATION (Department: Marketing & Communications)

Description: Animations can range from simple GIFs to involved motion graphics. We will work with the abilities of the intern and challenge them with creative goals requiring work with Flash, Blender, Adobe After Effects, etc. Work would entail creation of presentation decks, animations, special effects, video edits, audio mixing, creating touch screen “interactives” for a variety of delivery platforms including social media.

Qualifications:  Interest in communications, new media, and video production; Must have a good attitude, a pleasant phone demeanor, a willingness to learn, and a portfolio; should be Internet savvy and be able to provide samples of work including school projects, demo reel, YouTube / Vimeo channel etc.

3. WEB DESIGN/ SOCIAL MEDIA CREATIVE (Department: Sales & Events)

Description: Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification. Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action on social media platforms, web pages, and blog. Optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content. Moderate all user-generated content in line with the mission. Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules. Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices.

Qualifications: Working experience or exposure to social media marketing or digital media environment.Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), and communication skills. Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge. Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, e-commerce functionality and general awareness to ticketing and dynamic events calendar. Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of search engines and data analysis. Positive attitude, detail oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability.

Social Marketing and Growth Intern at Product Hunt

Product Hunt is based in San Francisco. The intern role is available for remote candidates, and you’ll need to be available from 6am-11am PT Monday-Friday.

3-month internship with the possibility of an extension. Your primary daily responsibility will include managing Product Hunt’s Twitter, Facebook, and other social channels.

Message in a (Plastic) Bottle: Enter Your Art by Feb 5th

Message in a Bottle is a series of art & education events, inspired by the ocean and marine plastic pollution, and takes place February 23rd to the 25th, at the Venue at the Palace of Fine Arts.

Artists will showcase their work to a large public audience with the option to put their pieces up for sale. The event curator, Andrea Martin, of the De Young, has a wide network of art collectors, buyers, and curators who will be present for the event.

Artist Information
MIAB is seeking submissions of 2D and 3D visual art and films that showcase (the effects of) plastic pollution. Art submissions should be marine plastic / ocean pollution / global warming / environmentally / ocean beauty themed.

MARKETING INTERNSHIP: PAID

 

BLUE TRUCK is an award-winning design-build architecture studio that creates inspired and thoughtful spaces by synthesizing a collaborative design process with high craft construction AND is looking for a part-time (1-2 days a week) paid intern.

 

We are looking for help with the strategy and production of our marketing outreach:

  • social media strategy and posts
  • website updates
  • award submissions
  • project photoshoots and publication endeavors – networking (e.g. past and present clients, etc.) – marketing collateral (flyers, brochures)

 

The Marketing Intern will work directy with the studio’s Principal and Studio Director as well as our Director of Marketing to create and implement our marketing vision. This role, while part-time initially, has the opportunity to evolve into more regular work, particularly with the candidate’s willingness to integrate into the daily development of the practice and general office tasks. Work will be done on site in our Mission/Potrero studio which is part of a vibrant artist community and a diverse and exciting neighborhood.

 

The ideal candidate has excellent writing ability, graphic design/layout skills and a strategic, marketing mindset. Creativity and quality execution are paramount to success. We’re especially interested in candidates with an interest in architecture and a willingness to be part of our growth and emergence in the field.

 

Required qualifications:

  • relevant academic and/or work experience, such as marketing or communications (may be a student currently)
  • fluency in English

DETAILS
The internships are for 4 month (minimum 16 hrs./ max 20 hrs. per week) internships commencing May 1, 2017 (More will open in September, 2017).

While the start dates may be flexible depending on the academic semesters and associated requirements for credits, the duration of the internship will not exceed 4 months.

All interns will be paid a monthly stipend of max $1800, depending on their hourly/ monthly engagement with the respective departments and can be proactively negotiated on a case by case basis in conjunction with on-going project work in each department.
