Career Day I – Company Tour & Networking

Day 1 consists of a full day of networking, agency tours, and “learning the ropes” from agency hiring professionals. Students will attend an information-packed morning session designed to help them be successful in landing that first job in advertising – covering everything from assessing your skills for the right agency discipline, resumé dos and don’ts, interviewing tips, and first year expectations. Also included is a networking session with agency representatives and a catered lunch. Armed with an arsenal of knowledge and contacts, students will then go on an agency tour in the afternoon. Registration begins at 8:00 AM. Students are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from The Veterans Memorial Complex and their assigned agency tour location.

Career Day II – Advertising Seminars

Day 2 offers you a privileged glance at what’s hot and upcoming in the field of marketing. Get current while rotating through three highly informative and interactive topics: Dissecting a Digital Ad Agency, Media – Where the Money’s At, and Pop Culture in Advertising. Lastly, during two large group sessions, you’ll learn from a creative director how to spot good creative and also hear how Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino Las Vegas runs the table with their ultra dynamic integrated advertising efforts. Note: you will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the agency.
